Barbara Stump is an artist and an art educator currently residing in Traverse City, Michigan. She has over 30 years of art teaching experience kindergarten thru 12th grade. Barb earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and her Master’s Degree is from Michigan State University. She taught dual enrollment art classes for Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University; Drawing and Painting at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp; portfolio workshops; and other art events for adults. 

Her own artwork has been displayed in Petoskey, MI at Crooked Tree Arts Center; in Lowell, MI in the West Michigan Regional Artists’ Juried Show; in Grand Rapids, MI at ArtPrize and in Celebration of the Arts Juried Show. 

Barb has been honored to have her students’ work selected as part of the Congressional Show at the National Capitol in Washington, D.C.; The North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI; Scholastic Arts Show in New York, NY; and Michigan Art Education Youth Arts Festival. 

Barb has two adult sons, and this summer married her husband, Jeff, who has two adult daughters. Together they enjoy traveling, attending MSU sporting events, and spending time on Long Lake with family, friends, and their dog, Maple.
