Dr. Galvin is a Fully Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan and she is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). In addition, Dr. Galvin is an Adjunct Specialist at Michigan State University in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education. She has been a field supervisor, training doctoral students and other graduate students in the field of psychology for nearly 30 years.
She cherishes spending time with her family including her son, husband, and his two children who are both young adults. In her free time, she enjoys travel, cultural events, and cycling.

Dr. Galvin employs a variety of research-based techniques in her practice, which is further enhanced by a warm, caring, and friendly personality. Her background in psychotherapy, neuropsychological assessment, and education provides clients with a strong and diverse skill set. She works with children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of therapy as well as assessment. She works with clients who seek assistance on a variety of issues. spanning the range from those who are adjusting to changes in their life, anxiety, and depression. She also employs life-coaching techniques so that her clients can create a vision for their lives, set goals, and achieve their aspirations, while learning how to maintain balance in their lives.
Dr. Galvin has more than 30 years of experience in the field of psychology. She spent the first ten years of her career in the Chicago area and has been practicing in southeast Michigan for the past several years. She has also worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice, public schools, and neuropsychology.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree with Honor from Michigan State University, where she also completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. She earned her PhD at Loyola University of Chicago’s highly regarded and fully accredited Doctoral Program.
