Geoffrey VanGorder

Geoff earned his Master’s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy. He finished his undergraduate education at Grand Valley State University. Early out of college, he worked in direct community support of adolescents with Autism.  

Geoff currently works as a Michigan-certified School Psychologist for a local school district and as a testing psychologist for Galvin Growth Group. In the schools, Geoff spends most of the time evaluating students to determine if there is a need for special education and or school accommodations as well as developing Individualized Education Plans. For Galvin Growth Group, he works to help individuals and families by testing to determine if there may be the presence of impacting diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression. 

Geoff lives in Canton and grew up in Brighton and Northville. He loves spending time with his Wife, toddler son, and labradoodle, going to parks, and cheering at sporting events. Geoff enjoys reading, working out, and working on home improvement projects.

CLINICAL APPROACH

As an evaluator, Geoff specializes in taking an analytical, data-driven approach to arrive at meaningful conclusions to assist people in finding solutions that lead to improvement and success.
