MA CCC-SLP, SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST, BA & MA IN AUDIOLOGY AND SPEECH SCIENCES
Christina has more than 20 years of experience working in the educational setting, providing speech and language services to children of various ages, with most emphasis on middle school-age students. She has a year of experience in the Skilled Nursing Home setting working with adults with Alzeimer’s disease, Dementia, and swallowing disorders. Christina also has private practice experience working with children ages 8 to 12.
In addition to her degrees, she has earned 15 credit hours focused in the area of education. She is licensed in the state of Michigan as a Speech-Language Pathologist and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs in Brighton, Michigan. She loves animals and photography and takes senior and family photos in her spare time.
Christina uses evidence-based practice and explicit instruction to address language and articulation deficits. She strives to make therapy fun and engaging, while still challenging the client to make progress. She helps the client discover their “why” for doing therapy, which helps them grow and take ownership over their progress.
Areas of Concentration: Diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with expressive and receptive language delays, disfluent speech, and articulation delays. Experience with children with Learning Disabilities, Cognitive Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Hearing Impairments, and Emotional Impairments.
