Katie Ploss earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University and began her career as an early childhood teacher. Following her undergraduate and teaching experience, Katie completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology as well as an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Alongside her private practice work, she is a school psychologist for a public school district, serving pre-kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students. Katie has also received formal training as a birth and postpartum doula, supporting new parents through labor, delivery, and the first weeks of parenthood.
Katie's expertise in psychological evaluation, academic and behavioral intervention, executive functioning, child development, and consultation with teachers/parents, allow her to access a wide range of evidence based interventions that support children in areas such as: organization, study skills, academics, behavior modification, anxiety, depression, social skills, and more.
